Deutschland, E-Mail support@platewiseapp.com. Ergänzend gilt Apples Standard-Lizenzvertrag für Apps (EULA).
2. Leistung
PlateWise liest fotografierte Speisekarten und schätzt mithilfe von KI (Google Gemini) Nährwerte und wie gut Gerichte zu deinem Ziel passen. Alle Angaben sind Schätzungen in Bereichen auf Basis typischer Restaurantportionen. Sie ersetzen keine medizinische, diätetische oder allergologische Beratung und sind keine Diagnose. Bei Allergien und Unverträglichkeiten frag immer im Restaurant nach. Wenn du gesundheitliche Beschwerden oder besondere Ernährungsbedürfnisse hast, sprich mit einer Ärztin oder einem Arzt.
3. Voraussetzungen
Du brauchst ein iPhone mit Internetverbindung und musst mindestens 16 Jahre alt sein. Ein Konto ist nicht nötig.
4. Abo und Preise
Das Scannen von Speisekarten setzt das Abo „PlateWise Pro“ voraus. Es gibt ein Wochenabo (5,99 €) und ein Jahresabo (39,99 €) mit 3 Tagen kostenlosem Test für neue Abonnenten. Der Preis wird vor dem Kauf in deiner Landeswährung angezeigt. Die Zahlung läuft über deinen Apple Account. Das Abo verlängert sich automatisch um die gleiche Laufzeit zum gleichen Preis, wenn du es nicht spätestens 24 Stunden vor Ende der laufenden Periode in den Einstellungen deines Apple Accounts kündigst. Kündigst du während des Testzeitraums, fallen keine Kosten an. Ein ungenutzter Rest des Testzeitraums verfällt, wenn du ein Abo kaufst.
5. Widerruf und Erstattung
Käufe in der App schließt du mit Apple ab. Für Widerruf und Erstattung gelten die Bedingungen des App Store; Erstattungen beantragst du bei Apple unter reportaproblem.apple.com.
6. Faire Nutzung
Das Abo umfasst bis zu 30 Scans pro Woche mit je 1 bis 3 Fotos. Nutze PlateWise nur für Speisekarten und Getränkekarten. Automatisierte Abfragen, das Umgehen des Kontingents oder das Hochladen rechtswidriger Inhalte sind nicht erlaubt und können zur Sperrung der Scan-Funktion führen.
7. Deine Fotos
Die Rechte an deinen Fotos bleiben bei dir. Du erlaubst uns, sie für den jeweiligen Scan zu verarbeiten und dafür an Google Gemini zu übermitteln. Gespeichert werden sie auf unseren Servern nicht (siehe Datenschutzerklärung).
8. Verfügbarkeit und Änderungen
PlateWise nutzt Dienste Dritter (Apple, RevenueCat, Cloudflare, Google). Wir bemühen uns um einen störungsfreien Betrieb, können aber keine ununterbrochene Verfügbarkeit garantieren. Wir dürfen die App weiterentwickeln, solange der Kern der Leistung (Speisekarte scannen, Top 3 für dein Ziel) erhalten bleibt.
9. Haftung
Wir haften unbeschränkt bei Vorsatz und grober Fahrlässigkeit sowie bei Verletzung von Leben, Körper und Gesundheit. Bei leichter Fahrlässigkeit haften wir nur für die Verletzung wesentlicher Vertragspflichten und begrenzt auf den vertragstypisch vorhersehbaren Schaden. Für die inhaltliche Richtigkeit von KI-Schätzungen übernehmen wir keine Gewähr.
10. Änderungen dieser Bedingungen
Ändern sich diese Bedingungen wesentlich, informieren wir dich in der App. Laufende Abo-Perioden bleiben unberührt.
11. Anwendbares Recht
Es gilt deutsches Recht unter Ausschluss des UN-Kaufrechts. Zwingende Verbraucherschutzvorschriften deines Wohnsitzlandes bleiben unberührt.

2. Service
PlateWise reads photographed menus and uses AI (Google Gemini) to estimate nutrition values and how well dishes fit your goal. All values are estimates in ranges, based on typical restaurant portions. They do not replace medical, dietary or allergy advice and are not a diagnosis. With allergies or intolerances, always ask the restaurant. If you have health conditions or special dietary needs, talk to a doctor.
3. Requirements
You need an iPhone with an internet connection and must be at least 16 years old. No account is needed.
4. Subscription and prices
Scanning menus requires the "PlateWise Pro" subscription. There is a weekly plan ($5.99 / €5.99) and an annual plan ($39.99 / €39.99) with a 3-day free trial for new subscribers. The price is shown in your local currency before you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple Account. The subscription renews automatically for the same period at the same price unless you cancel it in your Apple Account settings at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. If you cancel during the free trial, you are not charged. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
5. Cancellation and refunds
In-app purchases are made with Apple. App Store terms apply to cancellation and refunds; request refunds from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
6. Fair use
The subscription includes up to 30 scans per week with 1 to 3 photos each. Use PlateWise only for food and drink menus. Automated requests, circumventing the quota or uploading unlawful content are not allowed and may lead to the scan function being blocked.
7. Your photos
You keep all rights to your photos. You allow us to process them for the scan and to send them to Google Gemini for that purpose. They are not stored on our servers (see the Privacy Policy).
8. Availability and changes
PlateWise relies on third-party services (Apple, RevenueCat, Cloudflare, Google). We aim for smooth operation but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may develop the app further as long as the core service (scan a menu, top 3 for your goal) remains.
9. Liability
We are fully liable for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health. For slight negligence we are only liable for breaches of essential contractual obligations, limited to the damage typically foreseeable for this type of contract. We give no warranty for the accuracy of AI estimates. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
10. Changes to these terms
If these terms change materially, we will tell you in the app. Current subscription periods are not affected.
11. Governing law
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected.
